I recently read a book that was timeless “The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane” by Kate DiCamillo. The book tells the story of a china toy rabbit who is separated from his girl, to his annoyance, and finds himself caught up on a journey where he is moved from home to home while he is broken and lost in despair until he finds his girl again.

In that book I read all the stories. But one of them impressed me very much. I was an epic story. It was the story of the sage Dadhichi. The stroy goes like this. In the far old days, there were demons on the earth. The Gods were living in the heaven.

The last book of the year was The Small-town Sea by an unknown writer Anees Salim. I was quite shocked to see such quality writer to remain unknown. This book was something I connected with on several levels. A harrowing tale of an ill-fated young boy, who wanders unknown paths of life, gathering haunting memories.
